Did you know Americans spend more on Halloween decorations than any other holiday besides Christmas? It's a sign that the fall festival is gaining in popularity. But what are we celebrating?
From witches flying on brooms to black cats, Halloween decorations are hitting the stores, as America gets ready for its annual celebration of all things morbid and occultic.
In some places, Halloween decorations outsell Christmas decorations. Ask Amanda Moore, who works at a mall outlet called the Halloween Boutique.
"We're not going to do a Christmas store this year," she said.
