In case you haven't noticed, we are hurtling toward Christmas 2003. We are less than six weeks away from 'Black Friday,' the traditional day-after-Thanksgiving start to the Christmas shopping season. Then too, the start of Hanukkah is just about 10 weeks away, and we are only 11 weeks shy of Christmas Day.
Perhaps the best measure for holiday shoppers is the number of paychecks left before the holidays. For me, there are only five paychecks to Hanukkah and Christmas ? and only three before Black Friday arrives."
