KVAL 13 - Eugene: "Christmas Tree Harvest Begins
By Craig Sklar
Monroe -
There's no shortage of Christmas trees. The Monroe Tree Farm is cutting, baling and shipping a quarter of a million of them this season.
But the problem isn't with supply, it's with demand. This is just the start of harvest season and they have a healthy number of trees and a healthy demand for them, but in the next couple of years they are expecting a drop in that demand, leaving doubt for an industry that is already struggle here in the southern Willamette valley
Bob Seavers has been raising Christmas trees all his life. "
