Christmas Cards From Ronald Reagan
Christmas Cards From Ronald Reagan
It was only a handfull of Christmas cards from the President and Nancy Reagan, but they meant the world to one Madison County woman. Frances Hicks says, "To me he was the best."
President Ronald Reagan earned that status with Frances Hicks. Not because of his politics, but his kindness. Hicks' son Prentice went missing in action in 1969 in the Vietnam War. So each year the President in office sends a Christmas card. President Reagan did, but unlike the others, he kept sending them even after leaving office. "That meant everything to me, that's the reason I'm partial to him."
